Instead of the usual dump, I got a room in the best hotel in the city. Thanks to Elle’s daddy money hadn’t been a problem for me in a very long time. It was never hard to find a fence willing to take gold off your hands. Although I’m sure there were a lot of diners wondering what ever happened to the cutlery I was using. No one blinked when you gave them a gold butter knife or spoon.

I pour a drink after cleaning up from the battle, then boot up the laptop I stole from Danko’s goon squad. There’s still a hint of blood along one corner that I just couldn’t bear to clean off.
